I have capsulitis in a toe joint because the toe next to it is "deformed" according to podiatrist. Custom orthotics and buying expensive shoes in my future. I am not happy. I HATE SHOES! :'(
Sounds painful! Podiatrists are expensive! (and so are orthotics) But, if they relieve the pain - it's all worth it!

Hope you get the thrips under control!

Spent 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in doctor appointments for myself and DS12. And 6 hours of driving too! long day! but good! Other than the part where I missed a turn and drove 49 miles before it went from divided highway to 2-lane road and I finally noticed. :p

Chilly morning, but started on garden work. 2 - 4 weeks left to planting, but the weeds are up already!

I forget that there are folks who live north of me! Unless work, rain, and other obligations keep me from doing so, I time my planting of cold weather crops: just as soon as frost is out of the ground, or when first weeds make an appearance, or when the frogs start peeping. I could put lettuce, spinach, kale, radish, and peas in now. But am doing a major garden revamp, so not able to do so. Until I get the revamp done, I'm letting the flock into the garden to help me.

DH got the tractor stuck in mud yesterday. We got it out okay with DH's truck. I couldn't believe how deep the mud was! The surface (pasture) looked normal, but 12" of mud underneath the surface! @frustratedearthmother I was thinking of you!!!

I treated African Violets with a pyrethrin spray. Too soon to know if it one treatment was enough. I am assuming not.

My son practically buried our tractor in a gate area that the pigs and horses had wallowed out. The goats wouldn't even go through there and eventually it got so deep that the smaller pigs had to swim, lol.

We haven't dared to do much with the tractor, it's been the longest mud season. Ugh! Glad the truck got it out!
