y'know? I always taught my daughter to enjoy her freedom. Then, if she ever met a person she was willing to give up her autonomy for, she might actually have someone that was worth it.

Okay, there's a lot of truth to this, even today. Many of those are simply good manners.

And yes, even today, women go to college to get only an MRS degree.

YMMV, but is really not as demeaning as it could be percieved.
