Spent some time inside today. Been re-doing some stuff in the kitchen. Trying to make it more user friendly. Totally removed everything from three shelves in a cupboard and re-vamped a lot of it. I wanted to do a better job of arranging things. This particular cupboard is now the 'baking' cupboard. I've put almost everything into clear glass canisters/jars. It makes for a very clean look and I've got everything labeled with erasable markers. A lot of that stuff looks very similar! Baking soda and baking powder look pretty much the same in a jar, lol. Nice to get that done. Looking forward to having more time to do more.

Moved the trailer back into the pasture. It's been sitting on the side drive since I unloaded hay. It's now back in it's spot. I'm going to start letting some of the pigs into that area and see if any of them want to hop in the trailer and take a one way ride. I've got plenty of eggs to boil, lol. Big Daddy boar has been out of his pen since I turned off the electric to move the round bales. Big stupid/smart guy won't go back in his pen because he knows that there's an electric wire that spans the gate. Of course I unhook it when I want to move pigs in or out of that pen - but he just seems to remember that it's there - not that it can be moved. If I can't get him back in his pen - then he must go in the trailer for that ride. :( But, but, but.... he's my fave! Just can't have him running with the gals full-time. I don't need 5000 pigs!

:th WHAT a thought!!! You need wine! & rest!

Kitchen sounds nice....you can do mine! :hide I'm thinking of packing up over half my plates, bowls, etc Have service for 16 & only ME at most meals! ( DH had big fam, so I had plenty.) Leaves more room for bakeware, etc. Never use cup/saucer...always a mug. Wasted space :old

I'm not even finished with mine, lol. I've lived in this house for over 30 years. It is in desperate need of a purge! I want to make a cut so that "someday" my children don't have to do it. I am fairly minimalist - but my DH - holy cow...NOT! He considers himself an "archivist." I consider him a hoarder. It will happen...slowly but surely. Gotta give him some credit though - he's been doing a little almost every day.
Feed them in the trailer, they will load themselves. LOL
Big Daddy knows all about feed in the trailer...as do most of the adult pigs that live here. :) I randomly toss eggs or feed in there so that they don't have any fear of climbing in. Makes life a lot easier when you need to move 'em.

We've got most (but not all) of the security changes taken care of. Reinforced all the strike plates with sturdier ones that have the 3 inch screws. Got new bulbs in one of the motion detector lights and hung another solar powered one. Plan to get a couple more. Actually keep the garage locked now as opposed to years of not - despite losing a chain saw years ago to a garage break in. It's easy to get complacent. No longer! One of the biggest changes is that we are hyper-aware now. Dogs bark - we look! Someone walking down the street - we pay attention. Blinds are open during the day so we can see what's going on outside - closed at night so no one can see in. Simple things - but important.

Weather liars are talking about an area in the gulf that "might" develop. Puh-leeeese - don't wish anything on us, lol. Bad enough when there is actually something out there - we don't need false alarms.

OH my gosh - now I have to call myself a hoarder... :( Went through another kitchen cupboard today. It holds oils, vinegars, and spices. Some of the spices that were way back in the back expired....a long, long, long, long time ago. They're gone now. And who needs 5 bottles of rice wine vinegar? Trash man is gonna hate me on Monday. But, it sure feels good.

Had salmon tonight with riced cauliflower and brussels sprouts. Yum! But best of all - DH cooked! Woo Hoo - there's hope, lol!
