Our annual State Fair is large and held about an hour from me. I like to just walk and look. Haven't been in a few years but, would like to go if weather is good when it happens in the Fall. It's something to do. Plus, I enjoy seeing what others are doing. Update yourselves on anything new, current fads. Often I am working the days it's going on.

I always go to the animal areas. Years back, used to take some of my minis to the show there. It wasn't a sanctioned show for my animals point system but, they needed support and it was always a good place to see people interested in the animals for the future.

Food -- yeah, generally indulge. Nothing specific for me, just what smells/looks good.

Storm damage photos. This is about 3 miles from my house.

Probably 6 miles from my house. The hardest hit property that I've seen in my area. :( Hard to see but there's a section of roof gone off the barn and there's a grain bin in the ditch.

We were very lucky to miss this storm.

We had a storm like that come through about 1.5 years ago. It lit down in places, mowing down entire tracts of trees. There would be one yard of trees leveled, snapped like toothpicks, while 1/4 mile away, nothing was touched. We were blessed to have minimal damage in our yard. But, one of the main roads away from our neighborhood had so many trees down, and lines snapped that travel and electricity wasn't happening for DAYS.

Have you recovered from your week of no kids? Hope you had lots of time to just enjoy your "me" time.

yes, just IDK, busy but not doing SS stuff.

DS4 started school today. Half-days.

We took a weekend vacay to Canada for Labor Day. Was nice to get away for a bit - wish it could be longer!

Apples are getting ripe. I've been more functional so should be up to making and canning applesauce.

I understand busy! Not too much SS stuff going on around here right now...just the normal feeding and milking but not much else. Too stinking hot!

Weekend away sounds so nice. Glad you've been more functional - that's good news!
