Cooking down my largest stock pot full of tomato juice today for making of tomato soup, then will can it up.

We've found that the tomato soup, as a base for other soups, has become the most versatile use of the tomatoes we grow here. Eaten on its own or used to make other soups, chilis, etc. it's a great canned item.

I like that library seed share! It may be something that is available in other areas &/or other sources....schools? Food banks? etc. Some do not want to plant or harvest, others do.
I found 4 laundry baskets full of wonderful seed, donated to habitat by a retailer. They were 2018 seeds but still good in Spring 2019!!

The sold them at 25 cent a pkt. Decent price and some were the 2.50 priced organics, heirlooms, etc. Really great selection.

It is a pretty & colorful soup. Many uses, as you say. You know, that sitting next to jars of corn & green beans is so nice to see! I so appreciate looking at canned food. :)

Not be only nice to look at. There's a great feeling of accomplishment also, multipled greatly if you raised and canned your own. Not to mention if you did raise your own, you know exactly what went into raising it (no mones, ottics, icides, etc...) So you know its good food :)
