Have had grand daughters for the weekend and tonight. I’ll take the oldest home and the littles to daycare in the morning.

I am almost ashamed to say that my freezers are so full that I am canning chicken breasts & tenders. Gifted 60# and not going to lose that. Canner full of pints this AM....now full of quarts. Another will be put in soon as this one can come out. It is beautiful in those jars! I have been blessed with abundant food this year. Appreciate it all. Yeah, besides the chicken, multi veggies -- frozen and fresh. I have a case of apples to process but, they will hold well with cool weather... so I see some more applesauce working later in week...DGD eats some fresh, me too. Such provisions that it is mind boggling. Sure glad my outside work is slowed so I have time to work all of this. What a blessing.! And, I am sharing with others who can use the food. It's a good feeling.

PLUS had a wine demo today. Woohoo. Now some wonderful Rose to compliment the foods. LOL How good can it get???

Coffee is ready, supposed to be cold and sunny here today! Going outside to do something, been drizzling for 3 days, tired of being inside.

Tomorrow -- work on apples? Well, during this week for sure.
Will add to these & the elderberry & blackberry juices/syrups, the peach butters, etc., from earlier this summer.

Haven't done heavy canning in a few years. About a month ago I began pulling canning jars out. Part of my clean & reorganize efforts. Scoured, sanitized, packed up and sealed, in boxes & bags for use from spring garden, So glad I did because I had jars, lids, etc. all ready for the "surprise" need. LOL. Will leave these out a few days, then to storage area. Yep, that's a place I'm having to re-org now.:idunno

Rarely do I have such home preparedness off season

I'm sure looking forward to more home time.

today replaced about 60' of fence. Tomorrow I will use the CPs elsewhere. More outside time. LOL

Also prepped, cooked, made and canned Apple Butter. Only 6 pints but a lot of time! It's good tho. About another 50 lbs to get into applesauce....maybe tomorrow...or not. We'll see how the fence goes. Plus, how many goats want apples...

I'm having my glass of wine celebration now...no midnight for me! I'll be in bed asleep. Outside wears you out!
