It is sooooo cold! Weather liars really blew this one! Our area was supposed to get to a low of 34....it's 25 on my thermometer and 58 degrees inside my house! Geeze louise! I'm terrified to walk out and look at my little garden.

Soooo, started that this morning.

I've since looked at my little garden and picked 125 habaneros, 20ish jalapenos, and 6 or 8 eggplants. The habaneros are in the dehydrator in the garage! The freeze was not kind. :(

Two more inches of rain is JUST what we needed! (not) But, it's what we got so we deal with it. I had put out some deer plot seed before the rain last week and I can see spots where it's coming up. I need to block off access to the neighbors pasture and let it get a foothold before I let critters over there. That needs to be my chore for tomorrow.

Chili is percolating and we're about to dig into it. The house has smelled wonderful all day while it's been cooking.

DH had his check up after Monday's procedure and he passed. YAY! That should be it for awhile! :fl

The cold we've had means the pups have been sleeping inside. Won't always be necessary when they're older but I just don't understand folks who get itty bitty 8 week old puppies and leave them out in 20 degree weather with just a pile of leaves or hay. Ignorance and animal cruelty at it's worst. Wish someone would treat the owner the same!

What's one more puppy when you're raising 2 already? 🤣
That's what I said, lol. I've actually had her a week now and it's amazing how great the others are with her. She's a little spitfire and holds her own just fine. I have an alternate plan if it doesn't work out. My DD would love to "foster" one if three is one too many.
