Yeap, I knew that was there. It's an okay start but falls short of truly getting a family ready.

Every so often, ads run on local TV for that site. The focus has been to have a family rally point plan (my term) in case of an event. Good point that doesn't often get discussed.

The site has been short term in its advice. I think to prevent immediate panic and chaos.

I agree that it doesn't go into enough detail of go far enough, but that's what we are for. For those fortunate enough to find this site, we can help them along. But at least it is a start for the clueless who may never have given it a thought.

there are such things as situational awareness and figuring out where the exits are at in case of emergency.

it surprised me that people don't notice things like that out of habit. i had to learn such things at a young age having older siblings. :)
