    Every so often, ads run on local TV for that site. The focus has been to have a family rally point plan (my term) in case of an event. Good point that doesn't often get discussed. The site has been short term in its advice. I think to prevent immediate panic and chaos.

    So both vehicles are full of gas, 10 gallons of gas, and 3 propane tanks. I have a homemade addition to the siphon to pull from the vehicle tanks.

    Only issue is calcium in the water. The jars have a powdery coating that vinegar takes right off. As long as we are here in town, I will consider using distilled water in the canner. Attempt #1 .. complete

    Coming up to pressure. 8 quarts if soup, 4 quarts of stock, enough set aside for dinner tomorrow night

    There might not be room in the canner. Lol. The initial stock set aside is already enough for 9 quarts, more or less. Smells so good and then the stock is silky smooth with the chicken fat. Just need the dishwasher to finish cleaning/heating the jars
