Calling Rob, Calling Rob I have a request........Please. :D
Can we add to our smilies?
That is if there is enough room on the panel to do that.
I have seen some pretty cool ones, a dancing pink elephant, beating a dead horse symbol and a flying pig and a few others.
I was wondering if Ann...
I just wanted to say thank you to Farmerchick for contributing so much new ss info by starting new topics.
I love the way you start these threads with so much info right off the bat.
Very interesting. Thanks again.
My husband and I were awarded a plaque by the historical commission in our town this week.
Our home was built in the 1700's and was a stagecoach stop that ran from here to Boston.
They also had a shoe factory on the property and Daniel Webster use to come here to get his congressman's boots...
Okay, I am trying to find out how you can buy a whole, half or shares of a cow for meat.
Is there an organization you can go through?
I cannot find anything in my area.
I went on line to that Farm Swap America web site and even though I was able to join fine, I cannot get access to post a...
I woke up this morning and thought today was Monday.
I thought we all overslept and started running through the house waking everyone up.
I got my Caleb up and gave him his clothes to get dressed and called my husband's cell phone to see if he was on his way home from work yet so he could help...

The reason I bring this up, besides the state of our economy, someone in a thread over on the BYC site mentioned that it happened in a store near her.
There is alot of talk of people not going to be able to get the food that we are able to get now. Rumor has it that stores willl not be stocking the things that we take for granted and are able to buy now.
If it comes down to it and people cannot get alot of the items they will need to cook and...
I have been cleaning out and getting the basement ready for storing food and supplies for the winter.
I had been wondering what I would use down there for storage, I knew I would have to buy something.
So I ride past a yardsale today and I see these boxes with storage units in them and promptly...
Okay, there is a thread going on, actually a couple of threads that are cross posting over at BYC regarding emergency preparedness.
Its actually about how the government could start rationing our food supply.
In fact someone said that the stores where they live are actually being limited on how...

Combine all the...
I am going to be selling chicken eggs at a couple of our local farmer markets.
My question is, for those of you who sell eggs as well, what do you do about refrigerating them beforehand?
I mean, if its only a few dozen then you can throw them in the frig, but what if you are going to be selling...
