    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Thanks @farmerjan! He is truly a joy to be around. (all my grandkids are!) I feel lucky that a 15yo teenage boy still enjoys spending time with his gramma! But more than willing to admit that it might have something to do with being in a house with 4 sisters, lol!

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Grandson and his friend are workers! I took them back Sunday and miss them! What they did: detailed my truck detailed DH's car weed whacked (a lot) mowed changed a tractor tire changed out the containers of hurricane water picked up branches and 'stuff' in the goat pen painted a good-sized...

Welcome, from Texas! It would be hard to 'free my horses' where I live - but cool that you did!

    Weather

No real rain in the forecast this week. They always say there's a chance of a random shower - but those random showers never make it to my house. Dry, dry, dry! Eighty degrees before 7am with 98% humidity. Ugh!

    Weather

Early last week the forecast was for our area to get 5 - 7 inches of rain throughout the week. We got less than half an inch.... We're now under a burn ban. Probably should have been for weeks now.

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Definitely making a dent in the chore list. However, we're making sure to throw fun times in too so that it's not all work. The weather has forced a delay in some of the chores that are on the list. I don't expect that the list will be all done when they leave, but that's ok. They got to...

    shortages

Is there a shortage of distilled water that I don't know about? We buy it for DH's cpap and thankfully I've not noticed any shortage. I went shopping at Walmart a few days ago. Big shortage of frozen foods of any kind. I was seriously wondering what was wrong. After I left there I went to...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

GS and his friend have been here for a few days now and there's no food let in my house. They've eaten through a couple years worth of stored food and are looking for more. Send help!!! I'm about to throw in the towel, lol! They are so much fun! We did go to the GS's favorite Chinese Buffet...

    What Did You Dehydrate Today?

We do enjoy it. It is the plant that keeps on giving for sure. And, weirdly enough - no other farm animal loves it. The chickens will eat the seeds if I open the pod for them - but that's about it. Oh - and the leaves - goats love the leaves.

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Zero rain. :( It all stayed just north/west of us. ARGH! Sprinkler will be going again as soon as I finish this cup of coffee and head outside. Then I'll head out of here for a two hour drive to meet my daughter half-way and grab my grandson and one of his friends. They want to make...
