I raised pet rats for years. We had them as kids as well (those 2 rats were sweethearts). So I know how to grab without getting bit normally.
I tend to ignore pain until I can deal with it. I'd drop too much stuff if I didn't as Im a bit klutzy.
Well Vetbond works quite well on humans.
Was closing the silkie pens up after dark. I always check for rats climbing the fence and grab their tails to pull them through and kill. Hermes decided to "help". He pulled the front half through so it turned and flayed open part of my index knuckle...
I eat extra chickens we have but don't raise meat animals. Too many options at restaurants supply stores around that make it not worth it cost wise for me.
Mom can only spin the one I gave her because I'd bought it for use originally and went to tons of stores checking how easy the tumbler moved on different one's. I then greased the wheels it turns on. Most of them suck. They are also only good if you don't have a ton of stuff to put in them.
I...
I spent 2 weeks growling at and chasing a rooster every time I saw him. So many times a day. I'd catch him and shove him down with the head outstretched like they do to each other. He was terrified of getting near people after that. All I had to do was stare at him and he'd run. He'd spurred me...
I'm not worried. We've been through this before. Bailing the banks out in the last one led to them being more cavalier and caused the rules that make a bank bailout now very unlikely. Granted this isn't a blip compared to the S&L Crisis back in 1989 really. That had about 1/3 of the S&Ls...
I think it's some fish antibiotic that can also be used as a foot soak for bumblefoot that works pretty fast since it's a staph infection.
I've always just done the removal method as it's quick. Bumblefoot is easier for me to deal with than the dang clogged nares they get sometimes. Carefully...
Remove it with a surgical blade. Usually I can loosen and pull bits out with one and not actually need to cut. Once it's loose enough can squeeze some of them out. Others it's bit by bit until gone then pack with antibacterial ointment (without pain relied) and wrap with vet wrap to keep clean a...
Stupid blackbirds will bill the bird feed out looking for prefered bits. The little finches, sparrows, and such will clean up the ground. These two critters have shown up in the last few months. We haven't had squirrels before. They gladly clean up as well.
I still can't get over the fact that 2 years ago, bagged pasta was $.69 a bag. Same bag, same brand is now $2.19. The bulk pasta I usually get has also gone up well over a dollar a pound.
Mom and Dad replaced their cabinets alone. Mom really anchored those things into the studs as well. She also did all the trim for the doors. I actually was rather impressed at how well she stained it all to match perfectly. She's always been good at carpentry, though.
I need to paint. Actually...
