Dang! You are the woman! I would never be brave enough to grab a rat by the tail! And, if one ever bit me I'd probably drop dead on the spot!
Sorry that happened, but impressed by how you handled it!
We finally got away from winter for a day or so. Decided yesterday to separate the bucklings. Got em all caught up and moved to a different pen. Went back out later and most of 'em were back out with the herds and their moms. ARGH! Caught the escapees and moved 'em again. Most of 'em were...
We loved the pygmy meat! Tasted sorta like lamb and beef had a baby, lol. The next one we butchered we didn't enjoy. Not sure if the meat went off or what, but it had a weird twang to it. That was a kiko/nubian cross. Had a friend of mine who is an afficianado of goat meat try it and she...

Now you've done it - I neeeeed some eggplant parm, lol! I have some eggplant in the freezer that was previously baked and scooped out. Not exactly eggplant slices....hmmmmm.
I actually do have one and it helps immensely! Probably the only reason I've been able to stand there allllll day. Almost finished - just have one hindquarter to go and a couple of random pieces. I'm deboning everything right now just so it'll fit in my limited freezer space. I don't really...
Whew - woke up to winter again. What the heck? But, it brought us some moisture and believe it or not, we need it. We've had over a half inch so far and nary a puddle anywhere. All soaking in nicely. (so far)
So glad that I moved a round bale for the critters yesterday. The original plan...
