    For poison oak, I wash with a Clorox solution. If you get a bad exposure, take a bath with a cup or two of Clorox and you won’t break out in a rash. Staghorn sumac, with the red “berries “ is a desired spice and it has a lemony flavor.

    Round bales are far easier. I use half cow panels and hog panels to make a square. Drawback is once they eat is as far as they can, I have to pull hay up to the panels so they can reach it. There are half round hay feeders that get the bales up and off the ground, been considering one.

    Maybe you could invest in a flatbed? They come in handy for a variety of things. But we work with what we have and do the best we can. Too bad we live so far apart. I like painting and would come help you.

    Sounds like you are on the right track. Cleaning up the premises is a good goal and makes you feel accomplished. Weeding the flower bed! That will make you proud of cleaning it up. Flowers are cheerful! I hope you keep posting here.
