Got it free - whatever it is??

I have a 1HP pump that pressurizes my lines and then some 3.2GPH spray stakes on each tree

    Hello from Minnesota!

Cool. I'm about 30 min south of the western side of the cities

Got it free - whatever it is??

yeah, shipping on these tanks is spendy, since it's freight, so a 1000 gal tank would be around $800-$900 after shipping. Now I just need to clean it (pressure washer on the inside I'm thinking)

Got it free - whatever it is??

I currently have a 550 gal tank for my 175 potted trees, but am expanding that to 400 over the next few years and knew I would need a larger tank. Getting this will allow me to either just replace the current one or sister them together, but that's a next year worry

Got it free - whatever it is??

Got a 1000 water tank for free today. A company my friend works for was getting rid of it :). Getting that in the trailer and transporting it was fun

    Mechanical Electrical Timer

I asked this over on TEG but figured I'd ask it here too Looking for a mechanical electrical timer, like the one Orbit makes for hoses. Anyone know of one? I have a 550 gal water tank that feeds my 10 rows of potted trees via a large pump. I usually turn on a row or two for 20 min or so, but...

    Tree Inventory/Mapping Software

Yep. Ha. I'm planting Catalpa, Willow, poplar, oaks, kentucky coffee, buckeye, sycamore, hickory and others. I'm fine using methods I have been, but I was just curious if someone else highly suggested a piece of software that they've used for a similar purpose. There's obviously things like...

    Tree Inventory/Mapping Software

no, this is for personal trees around the property. It's more just about landscape planning as I choose what should go where as I'm restoring prairie land and choosing placement for trees.

    Tree Inventory/Mapping Software

HAHA. I tried to get my wife to help with doing that for amur maple. She was not enthused. I was thinking about just cutting branches and spray painting the end few inches different colors depending on the desired species and pounding that into the ground where I wanted a type of tree...

    Tree Inventory/Mapping Software

Just seeing if someone has found a rather easy software to approach that. All my property used to be farmland but the previous owners did plant black walnut, honey locust, birch, silver maple and amur maple. I'm looking to cut down a lot of the amur maple over time and restore the prairie in...

    Tree Inventory/Mapping Software

Anyone try mapping/inventory or planning out tree locations for your property via some mapping software on your phone or a tablet? Looking to see if there's something else out there for home/farm owners that isn't heavy into arboriculture with 95 points of interest to track per tree. I might...

    Bat House Experiences

It's frankly amazing that many creatures survive the winters up here when it's dropping past -30. I know bats can move towards caves or human structures, but it's still crazy.

    Bat House Experiences

Hey everyone, So I think the topic was touched on in the Mosquito..be gone... thread, but I thought a more specific thread would be helpful on the topic of bat houses. I have seen them up on poles and on barns but honestly never really looked into building/buying/posting a bat house until...

    Mosquito..be gone...

I have a wife and 5 kids and here the mosquitos don't care what time of day or night it is. If you go outaide they swarm. It's not uncommon for a lid to come inside crying and welted and yelling about how terrible the mosquitos are. Yes, I want to be safe and support my local wildlife. I...

    Mosquito..be gone...

Yeah. I'd put it a ways away, which also means I wouldn't want one with a cord, which means it'll be $800 :( We bought a Flowtron Diplomat last year and that killed a lot of bugs, including skeeters. Probably a lot of good ones too. Now THAT is a big bug zapper. It also lights up the night...

    John Deere 826 Snowblower

Everyone has their thing(s) but most come with experience. I, for the life of me, can't organize anything. I know good organization when I see it but I can't come up with a plan to do it, whether that's a garage a closet or clothing. I look for pics, ideas and videos to help, but it's just a...

    Sprig's road to somewhere

I can get these guys to go in our cycloned run at night, but we've lost some to coyote because they're so dumb they cant see the gate that's open. They'll be out in our yard, outside of the 10k fence, and I'll step incredibly slow towards them so as to not spook them and just make them fly and...

    Sprig's road to somewhere

My wife commented on that market. Then said "sure, if you can catch them you're welcome to them". Those guys will fly a good 30 feet up into trees and happily hang out there for hours
