They wouldn't tolerate the matching hat. I haven't had a silkie that really liked hats at all. I've seen people get their uncrested breeds to keep them on long enough for a picture.
Only Ashes would let me clip any hat to his head and he wasnt happy about it. He was very tolerant of my posing him.
Well we haven't floated away yet. I am having to wade to the silkie pens again. The water ends about a foot away. I've built up the inside and chose very carefully where I placed the pens so the silkies are dry.
2.3 inches of rain so far today. Not a record for us, but it's enough to overwelm...
Well he's a blue partridge, not splash. I'm a little disappointed but hes still pretty. It's amazing how fast they change at this age.
One of my questionable chicks is a definite boy now. I think the other is too. I'll know in a week I think.
Towels were last bought in 1996. Cannon went under the next year.
Wash cloths from the 1970s in the drawer.
I saw some suggestion on offering to buy groceries for family.
Hubby has been hit by two. A whitetail in Virginia Beach took out the passenger door on his pickup.
He got hit my an elk just down our road. He'd actually saw the big guy standing there and stopped. Then it decided to run into the back door on the drivers side. Dented it a little, but his...
Partridge is sexable by color pretty young. Ive known those 2 were girls since 6 weeks. Most girls are easier to sex. The combs on the boys are starting to come in. Girls in my birds have very small or no comb. Tiny wattle bumps on the boys are starting to become visible. Girls don't get any...
No one has patience for pictures like a silkie. I think their annoyed faces when I keep touching them to move just right or look at me are the best. They have to raise their head and tilt it to give me the evil eye.
10 weeks this Thursday. Sex count of 13 chicks is 9 boys, 2 girls, and 2 I'm not sure of yet which probably means girly looking boys. It happens to me sometimes.
Cockerels
This is the hopefully splash partridge. Will know in the next 4 weeks.
Blue partridge. He's got a rather large crest...
Sorry. It was on sale.
Oh man you have to deal with black Friday amazon orders. Im so sorry.
Im very close to an amazon distribution center so amazon delivers most of my stuff
I should hopefully get more (better) pictures soon. I'd taken all the camera batteries and the charger out of the case and misplaced them long ago. Gave in and ordered a new charger and batteries because Mom wants to borrow the camera. Also have a better adapter that will also plug into the...
Maybe. I've had towels foisted off on me before. The 1970s hand towels are much longer than modern towels. I use them to wrap the side mirrors on hubby's truck on freezing nights. An old bath sheet covers the windshield (close top edge in doors). He never has to scrape windows that waym
I only noticed that there's an eagle in the one tree after looking at the picture again a few hours later. It was a pretty sunset tonight but Mt Rainier being all bright is always nice
