    Memes That Make You Giggle

Never tried that, but we used an awful lot of rope.

Is that the bass "Hey, lady lady!" I hear by the neighbor's pond? 😁

What did you do in your garden today?

Nope. Most grocery store beets have male stetility (no pollen)

What did you do in your garden today?

Not sure yet how that will work. I'm thinking of potato towers. On a related note, the Kenebec are sad but blooming, while the grocery store potatoes are all but dead

    Memes That Make You Giggle

I remember those days! Packing cement block, pvc and 2x4's in a Ford Ecort! Later I used my Dad's SUV and drove home from Lowes all hunched down because there was stuff sticking out the drivers side window as well as in the middle. Good thing the trip was short.

What did you do in your garden today?

Green beans I planted last week are up. I'm seeing a few beets. Those beets that survive will be encouraged to go to seed for my first year of adaptation. Cantaloupe/honeydew/whatever melons are up--they all washed downhill during the rain and ended up in a big clump. That's ok, I'll maybe get...

What did you do in your garden today?

100+ degrees for weeks on end, no water from May to September, sometimes October, and the plants still thrived. Something to consider. We water far more than most plants actually need.

What did you do in your garden today?

Would it work in a passive solar greenhouse? I could also grow it as an annual...

What did you do in your garden today?

This may sound odd, but if you have the space set aside a section that you water half as much, if at all. From the moment the seeds go in the ground. I usually gave seeds in my dry garden plenty of water when I planted them, then nothing. Thrive or die. This was in an area with 12 inches of...

What did you do in your garden today?

That's where a greenhouse comes in handy. I can scratch the gardening itch when there's snow on the ground.

What did you do in your garden today?

I was more concerned about cold, but rain is something I'm still not used to thinking about. Thanks!

What did you do in your garden today?

Planted more tomatoes, luffa, and cucumber seeds. Trying to decide if marjoram should go in the greenhouse, or outside.

What did you do in your orchard today?

Still alive. The mulch is below the graft and only partial. The soil is heavy clay, saturated by rain. About ten feet away the "water level" is less than six inches below the surface. None of the other trees (peaches, apricots, cherries, almonds, apples, plums and pears, mostly seedlings)...

What did you do in your orchard today?

    I don't spray anything.

What did you do in your orchard today?

I had two plum trees go out the same way last summer. Perfectly fine until the rain started, then gone.

What did you do in your garden today?

Down to 4 seedling almonds and 3 apricots from this year. A friend gave me more tomatoes!

What did you do in your orchard today?

I think my cherry tree is drowning from all the rain we've had. I'm not sure how to help it. I'm pretty sure that transplanting it now would kill it anyway.

What did you do in your garden today?

Not garden precisely, but I gathered up dry grass and piled it in the broody coop. When I get a chance I'll put live grass in there, so it looks like a comfy place to nest. The broody and her chicks will go in the coop tonight, while the other broody will go in the broody box. Not much to do in...
