Yrs back I raised 2 turkeys, both toms. Ate more than any animal I had, comparative to size. Butchered out over 25#each. I keep "thinking" I'd like a couple bourbon reds -- mainly to hatch poults to sell -- and I think they're handsome birds. Don't eat much turkey, so not wanting a bunch for...
They're the item in focus but, beef is very expensive! Your cows are better than stock right now ๐ And common garden yields -- $1.25-1.75 for one red or yellow pepper? Greens are almost as much. It's amazing. Yep, gardening big time this year.
Move over you billionaires, got 5 more tonight.
I already have 2 bators. Might set a load this weekend, if laying holds. But I really prefer broody hens!!! They are far better moms than me ๐ about time for that to begin.
I'm rich beyond words! ๐ Plus a philanthropist!
So far the morning crew have given me 10 eggs. I've given away 4 dz in past few days. Who knew the lowly egg would promote me to such heights!?

We're glad you have joined us. ๐ Many in this forum deal...
Since you're assigning him a "job" for gardening, I'm assuming the progress he's had is continuing.๐๐ฅฐ. Yes, he needs a job to keep motivated and have some personal accomplishment in his day to day again. So much of that was taken this past year with his health but, now he can re-bloom. ๐
@CrealCritter Are they "eggier" tasting? I've heard that but never had any. I'm not a big egg eater and my free range hens do produce the stronger taste than most store bought.
Hey, I had to run heated water tubs for several days during our arctic blast, for animals & my own ease of care & conscience. Now that's expensive!!!! I'm cringing as I pay up. ๐
