I am sorry for posting a post after a post, but when I clicked edit it started doing all sorts of crazy things... I will merge those posts later.
I was kind of considering what you said about marketing this product. And there it was... there was the answer, cows it is.
Considering the work...
Yeah, probably for 3 months out of the year.
I have been around cows for quite some time. I did like those that my great grand parents had, couse they were quite clean, and today wherever you go, they are just filthy and stinky and just clouds of insects flying around em. I admit, I have been...
:)
That reminded me, to put that information into the profile, which finally did ;) But my English is most definitely not good enough, not to notice that something is off.
In Poland that is: registering a cow, and off you go selling milk... To sell milk products you need a certified...
here comes the question:
If you were to choose between 4 cows (of a very diary oriented, well fitted for the region breed averaging 3000 kg of milk per lactation) or 30 sheep, to start a small diary, which one would you choose. I hope you could mention:
1. Initial cost of equipment for...
Geodesic is that the word?
I am looking for people who live in such homes or know someone who lives in a home like this, in Canada or one of U.S. "cold" states. As some of you know, I live in Poland, it does not get very low, but it does get to about -15 C at times in the middle of winter. I...

Well, we took one step forward and two steps back with my dear mother on the land front... when I started mentioning it, she was all cool and all... Now that I am more active about it, starting container garden, planting one patch of ground that was given to me on my grandfathers allotment...
I have to say, that I have never been a huge fan of this SHTF as a natural occurrence scenario. I always thought that people would cook a situation like that to other people. Never that the mother earth would do that to us, but we are having another wave of floods in the southern parts of...
Just the opposite with me, while I feel OK with snakes, their soft and cool and smooth skin I do not do well with big hairy spiders, hell NO:D we have a couple of native snakes around here in Poland living on the farm plains they are not poisonous so I got used to snakes, then some friends had...
Well yeah, I would be OK with that even realising the same fact :) but DGF is a kind of know it all, who will tell me what to do, not suggest. When someone tells me what to do and presses on something I just shut-off and nothing is coming through.
A small victory :) I tell you :)
Well, I really dunno what happened, but yesterday my grandfather come to my mother for some advice and started complaining about his age, and his allotment garden ( is that what you call those?) it is a small plot (200m2 I think which makes it... about 2000sq.f)...
