WOW! Great!! Merry Christmas!!!

So, maybe if I buy some cheerios I can make friends with Swanzilla?? This thing really terrifies me! I am hoping to have it a home shortly after Christmas. HOPING!

Well, from what I could see....it was NOT pinioned. And, I didn't have to poke it...all I did was walk up to the stall, and the freakin thing attacked the wall!! Beating its wings, hissing, Oh jeesh, what have I gotten myself into?? This is one scary swan! LOL

gd, that's what I was understanding as well. I don't know if this one was pinioned or not...and I didn't think to ask the Avian vet. Is there a way I can personally tell....without getting my head beat off with its wings?? LOL

Well, the snow didn't make it until noon. It was pretty to look at, but I was thankful it melted.....sorta. Just meant all the mud and poo reappeared! YUK! Guess I am not an " in between kinda gal" I want it either 80 and sunny, and dry with a light breeze.....or below freezing, where the ground...

Same here....people come and go...DW/RUSAFV ( US air Force Veteran, for those who don't understand. LOL) I too am used to people coming and going...and dealing with very different types of personalities...guess thats why I keep my head low, when needed.

I wouldn't give them to the chickens. Isn't mold bad for them as well? Compost those babies...

Wow, 40 minutes. I think I did well, considering the cold. :) Everyone is locked in, fresh straw/bedding, plenty fresh water and hay for the night...eggs gathered...and the fire is going. As I stepped out into the first snow...I shivered..and smiled....and listened. All was hushed by the snow...

One news station says... 2 to 4 inches....the other says...no snow....then another report says 4 to 6 inches....who knows?? All I know is that its snowing now...and NOW its sticking..I better get to the barn and get my chores done.

The snow is really coming down out there. However, it is so wet from all the rain, it isn't sticking. THIS kind of snow.....I LIKE!!

Oh, I know all about the rain, we are under a flood watch here. Thankfully we are high enough, and far enough away we wont get that....but we have puddles everywhere!!

I will get some pics of the gourds.....there are some very interesting ones in there. :)

Thanks FC, I might give that a try. The freezer doesn't seem to have ice in it...I read somewhere about a drain plug in the freezer might be clogged?? Darned if I can find it!
