Winter Wheat 150 pounds $15.00
Laying Crumbles 100 pounds $22.00
All Stock 100 pounds $13.20
This is a total of 350 pounds of feed for $50.00 compared to 250 pounds of laying pellets for...
OMG, BOSS is $22 per bag here for 50 lbs!! Is this the going rate??
On a brighter note, I found 75 pounds of wheat for $7.50. This is a good start to my chicken feed making process. I thought I would mix laying pellets, wheat, and what else?? Help please!
Worked today for my weekly 5 and 1/2 hours today; it isn't very many hours each week but at least it keeps my foot in the door, so to speak, and helps a little bit financially. Starting with the next paycheck I will apply the paycheck on our Visa. The regular monthly payment with two small...
I have tried all the grocery stores around here and they all tell me they are not allowed to give it away. I have spoken to several different people at each store and I get the some song, different dance. Stupid policy, IMO!
Lori, this all looks truly wonderful. How wonderful for your family that this situation come about like this, but you and your dh have truly turned this place into a home and should be so proud.
I have to tell you I appreciate you all coming to my defense LOL! I love this site so much more. I was convinced for the longest while that my animals were being abused because I don't have this or that or they don't have this amount of space or so forth. I look at my animals and know that...
Actually if you want the truth I didn't even bother to go over there as I HATE confrontation and knew it would come to that. I have never felt I fit in over there, I quickly quit posting on any topics that my answer varied from anybody else to avoid the madhouse. I am trying to support my...
This is one of the big problems of my chicken expense, I really need to cull the hens that are older but to be honest I have no idea how is laying and who is not. I also don't want to feed free loaders because here you have to do a job or you get the axe! :/

PS. I love your sig line.
I am not trying to cause any problems by posting this and am hoping I will totally different answers on this forum than I would on BYC.
My dh and I were discussing money last night and he pointed out how much animal feed we go through each month. I was wondering if there is a cheaper option...
I just done making hot pepper mustard and canning hot peppers for my wonderful dh! I know I am suppose to wear gloves but I hate them and forget every year.
