I've seen those prefab sheds/barns turned into cute little homes. I don't know if that is an option, but it might be somewhat comparable in price to a shipping container considering all the modifications like windows and doors that you'd need to do.
I've been reading a lot about Weston Price. It is great to see his theories working to help your baby.
I've been wanting to get Blue Ice FCLO but the price has been holding me off. Good to know it lasts a while.
That's awesome, Wannabefree. You never know what God can use. I'm glad you were able to go to the retreat.
I saw the name of the retreat. Could Deb Coty have been the speaker?
Thanks for sharing that, Beanie. It is such a good reminder. I love my study Bible that provides notes about many verses. It really helps make me think more deeply about what is being said.
So, at work there is a guy who gets samples of paper products from his suppliers. Yesterday he brought me a cookbook. He said, "I know you like cookbooks and when I saw this one I thought of you. It is weird, though, how they have a picture of chickens in a field across from a recipe for chicken...
Agreed. Machine piecing started with the treadle machine. :D
I'm signing up for a machine quilting class in October. I'll learn to do those rambling loopy things that I messed up on the Christmas wall hanging.
I do enjoy hand piecing and quilting, but it takes forever. So I machine quilt for...
Congrats on your harvest!
My favorite way to do sweet potatoes right now is to peel and either slice or cut into fry lengths. Coat with oil (I've done olive or coconut) and sprinkle with season salt. Roast in the oven at 400 for around 15 minutes or until softened. YUM
I know your little guy liked the "idea" of school and copying his older siblings. I know he misses them when they are away, but I tend to agree with these ladies. He seems stressed about going on the bus and staying at school. He'll soon have more stress with Mommy away at the hospital and the...
Okay this is NOT my picture (borrowed from Esty seller). I made this quilt called Key to My Heart using one Moda jelly roll and no pattern. Easy!
Made it as a lap quilt with flannel on the back for my niece and her hubby. He seemed more impressed and appreciative than she did.
Well, I seem to be raising young Muscovy drakes on dog food. They make a beeline for the dog's bowl every evening when I'm feeding, and the dog doesn't seem to give a care. The ducks will clean it up if I let them, so I try to keep the bowl up until I'm done.
Still making plans for...
So, I'm rather disappointed that none of my family really liked my kombucha. My nephew who likes his hard liquor didn't like kombucha in the raw even though he admitted it tasted like hard cider. Others tried the juice flavored and thought it too tart/sour. I like sweet stuff and could easily...
I've not had green tomato salsa. We have a relish recipe that uses lots of green tomatoes and it's delicious. A guy at my church makes pickles out of little green tomatoes. He loves them, but I thought they were just okay.
