Ohiofarmgirl'sAdventuresinTheGoodLand-where ya been? whatcha been doin

Hi OFG that kind of sucks that you get woken up when you are hoping to get a good long sleep. I can relate because this was my wake up at 3:30 am work week, and this am,....cat woke me up at 5 by patting my cheek with her paw. A gentle way to wake, but soooo disappointing. wish you all...

yummy. how are you cooking it? I planted kuri squash, but they crossed with some unknown thing and produced asteroid squashes. Haven't tried them yet because it is so disappointing to wait the whole hour they bake and then want to toss them to the chickens after the first bite. I must have...

I am not sure if this is the right place for this post, but...

If you are talking about those orange asian beetles that look like ladybugs, except oranger, there is something you can spray on your house/garage/shed etc. I don't know what is called, but you buy it at the feed mill. I'm sure it is some kind of insecticide, so you might not want to use it...

    Java. the end.

thats strange that your feed mill prices were high, up here the mills are always cheaper than the farm stores. And you can mix your own at the mills, or they will make the mix for you. Anyway, it is always fun to explore a new feed store!

Ohiofarmgirl'sAdventuresinTheGoodLand-where ya been? whatcha been doin

I used to run a natural foods co-op, and the local home ec classes would come tour the store and "learn" about food - it was always interesting in the produce aisle because, believe it or not, one of the foods most of the kids could not identify were: potatoes! I kid you not. And when they...

    Catching egg eating chickens

I can tell you that mustard filled eggs don't work. I have had luck with a glass egg, the eggs in the nest with the glass egg don't get eaten. Am looking for those alabaster eggs, or marble eggs that were so popular a few years back, that would give them a heck of a headache :) I have...

    TanksHill...Roll on!!

Gina, the crock and bowl are gorgeous! I love the colors. Haven't a clue about the weights - it seems like they would absorb liquid, wouldn't they? or not? have you put them in water just to see? I'm thinking they would be like a terra cotta pot. It sure couldn't hurt to oil them. good...
