:frow Java. That's what I did last night. All of the dishes are done and I did a couple loads of laundry to get us by in case the power goes out.
I hate driving in this weather to, people get so silly when it rains. :barnie This morning I was stuck on 270E for 30 min because of an accident...
We might actually get 2 days in a row with no rain :ya Friday and Saturday. I have so much to do but the weather won't cooperate. I still haven't got any peas planted and I have blueberry bushes and grape vines I need to plant. I would rather not put them in a water hole but they are going in...
I will be right there with you! My poor chickens are walking around in mud, mud, mud right now. But, they are having a dandy of a time digging up worms! Heck they don't even have to dig right now, they all just stand in a circle waiting...
In all seriousness, be very careful supporting these...
I am so sorry to hear about Perdy. I'm glad you were able to get her unstuck. Hopefully she will be fine in a day or two.
Congrats on the first cheese!
Awesome pics! Your chickens look so happy running around out there in the goat pasture. You have a beautiful family and a great piece of property! I am happy for you that things seem to be going so well!
I thought about you this morning OFG and wondered if you were ok. We got a phone call from the township emergency alert system we signed up for at about 2:30am. So I was up for most of the rest of the night. The wind was crazy, there are lots of trees on our neighbors property and just listening...
I never snipped any of mine, I just let it dry up and it just came off. I haven't had any problems. It's good to know that I can snip it after it's dry though. Congrats on all the chicks!
Oh that reminds me, when we were at TSC about 2-3 weeks ago there was a bin full of chicks and a youngish lady and her boyfriend came up and she said look at all the cute ducks! She went on and on about how cute the ducks were and her boyfriend looks at her and says "You know those are chickens...
That was my first TSC conversation and I enjoyed myself  My kids seemed to enjoy it once we talked about it later. I wonder sometimes if one of them is going to get in trouble at school by repeating something they heard at home about our animals and food and where it comes from.
I have 4 Serama roosters that I got at the Ohio National in 2009. We have decided that we are concentrating on just our large fowl and these need to go. Make an offer, I am even willing to trade, just let me know what you have. I don't know if any of them are show quality, I don't believe that...
My kids definitely know where their chicken comes from
The looks on my kids faces when she said that though, they knew she was talking about the chickens...
I don't get a chance to post much on the weekend but I have a TSC story very similar to OFG's from Friday (minus the pink juicy pants). We went to TSC Friday night to buy hubby a new come along and the kids and I were looking at the chicks, they had 6 bantams and 7 meat chicks and another bin of...
