We used a chain link fence gate as a trellis for our cukes for two seasons. I think we are going to plant peas on it this year. I got real tired of trying to keep the cukes from growing IN the openings, and if you don't get them out in time, you won't get them out.
25 or so years ago, when I was hooking up my very first generator set, I called Ohio Edison and asked them about "back feeding" the breaker box by plugging the generator into my dryer plug. There was a bit of silence on the other end of the phone, and then the gentleman said: "Yup, you can do...
We have 15,000 watt, 60 amp standby generator with a 200 amp automatic transfer switch. It is propane fired and I have it tied into 2- 500 gallon tanks. Continuous run time would be somewhere around a month, lots longer if I shut it down periodically. It runs everything in my house and shop...

One more memory I would like to share with ya'all............
Back in the day......(early 60's)....my mothers father came to spend his last summer with us. He used to give me a quarter, and I'd walk the 1/4 mile or so to Greter's Lake, stick that quarter in the cigarette machine, pull the handle...
I thank goodness every day that my mother let me help her can our garden produce every fall!! I still have some of mom's jars, her water bath canner, and probably 100 of her rings I still use.

Here in Ohio, we never put anything out until May. If I were you, I'd push everything back at least a month.

Next bit of advice would be to find a local trainer and set in a class or two to make sure you like their style of instruction. When you have found a trainer, sign up for the classes.
The Wife and I have trained our last 7 or 8 dogs...
I live near 3 cities. Shelby is a small farming community, Mansfield used to be a very busy manufacturing town, and Ontario has always been a shopping town, with the exception of the General Motors stamping plant that shut down last year.
Shelby has nearly dried up and blown away. Over half the...
I would LOVE to find a family like that! If possible, you could talk them into buying the breed you want so you can replenish your flock at no cost!!
WIN/WIN!!
