The first picture is the squash that I am hoping is zucchini and not yellow squash. The 2nd one is the 1st raised bed that my husband and I made from a pallet. The green bed is metal and I filled it with spinach lettuce cilantro kohlrabi pak choi and chives.
I have to unload the 5 bags of soil I just bought and get some on the potatoes because they have started to come up so I gotta get them hilled. I also bought spaghetti squash and watermelon seeds.
I got some of the dandelions from the front yard and put them in the big raised bed with the potatoes. I checked the big metal bed and saw some signs of my zucchini and yellow squash coming up.
I decided to get a jump start on the summer crops. I have: fennel, pumpkin, cushaw pumpkin, gourds, apple, olive, holy basil. I forgot to add the zucchini
I still have more work to do before the garden really gets going good but for now I'm happy with the progress and the cost has just been mostly soil and I did buy a roll of weed block but other than that it hasn't been much of an expense.
This is the small bed that I planted. No I didn't plant everything to the one side but my girls decided that I didn't plant it right so they had to fix it for me 🤣 🤣 🤣

The closest it has been is right at the back of the house but not high enough to do any damage. I'm more concerned about the animals because one has to stay outside because she's not house trained and I might have to bring my chickens inside and she doesn't like them
