It's crabgrass. She told me that herself. I just looked at her like wtf thinking why would anyone decide to plant weeds in their yard.

We were able to but we had to keep stopping to clean the tines on the tiller bc of the crabgrass 😠. The lady that we bought the property from decided to plant that after removing the hot tub. It sucks knowing that ppl are so ignorant to believe that crabgrass is a grass not a weed. 😡GGGRRRR

Yesterday my husband and I went to Roseville with our oldest daughter to get her a newer car. She now has a 23 ev. I got my tiller Friday and my husband and I got a big part of the garden tilled up but still have a lot of work to do before planting time. Hopefully I can get it done this weekend...

The weather has been good for quite a while but I know there's more rain coming. I'm probably going to be bringing my girls back in the house again. I will also have to put my pitbull female back on the front porch to keep her out of the water. I hope it doesn't get that bad.

What did you do in your garden today?

I was told that to kill crabgrass you have to go just up under the it and turn it over onto itself. It causes it to suffocate.

Today the weather cleared up and I was able to get the girls back outside. I managed to get a small portion of the run covered so hopefully they won't get as soaked.

Indeed it's always on my mind. I'm keeping my chickens in the house until the next storm passes over. They were soaked to the point of not being able to flap their wings let alone fly.

Apparently our neighbor did something to his property and now we don't see as much water as before. But last night I looked out the bathroom window and could see the puddles up close to the back of the house. When you have 6 animals and your the only one home you kinda feel like oh crap.

Tomorrow I will get some pictures posted so everyone can see my yard. This morning my front yard had some small puddles. Tomorrow it will probably look like a small pond. My back yard will probably look like a small lagoon. Bringing my girls inside to protect them is no joke. They were soaked so...

I purchased a 9'8"×6'5" ×6'5" on Walmart for under 100 dollars. I also found 2 small ones at Tractor supply for the 2 of them I paid 50 dollars. End of the season sale. My husband bought me a water bath canner for Christmas and a dehydrater for my birthday. Now I just need to get a pressure...

    What do you forage?

I forage wild mustard greens. I have to start picking up the acorns to make some acorn flour. I don't know what mushrooms are safe to eat so no picking up any of them.
