Being married to a "native son" of Texas.... I have often thought the same thing! I couldn't believe the real estate signs along the highway, so much acreage for sale!

To make the cheese filled hash browns, I added a bit of onion to the shredded potatoes, them put them in a sort of thin layer in the bottom of my iron frying pan, let them get nice and brown on one side, then flip them to the other side, they should stay together in a big circle, like a lacy...

I ate the last one yesterday morning! I think I want to taste this first one just as it is.

Last evening we were out playing with Spartacus, and I saw something hanging from my Strawberry Wheelbarrow, and it was a perfectly ripe Stawberry!! I knew I had flowers and some little green ones, but this was a real surprise!

12 T. Butter
3/4 cup dry cocoa
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour

I don't sell them.... I give them as gifts to people during the year. Take that back, I did give some to be sold at the craft fair for $3.00 for the regular sized bars. They sold pretty good, but I have yet to see any money from it!! It was for a fund raiser for the school where the the goats...
This week I made some soap from the frozen bags of milk in the freezer. Whenever the milk gets "goaty" tasting I would freeze 12 oz in a ziplock bag, the amount needed for my goat milk recipe.
I made 18 lbs of Soap!!
