taoist I would so love to get ahold of some raw milk...but haven't as of yet...
believe it or not selling unpasturized milk in chiliwack can get a 36 month jail term...
or a crazy maximum 3,000,000 fine...
no wonder no one answered my craigs list add.....
glad...to help dawn...
hope you have...
YEAH!!!!!
I can finally join the group....
got my grains this weekend...
(from craigslist....as I wanted to start with live as oposed to dehydrated )
.....wow...I have almost a cup...and some are quite largish...
and...dosent...taste bad....
tips she gave....if you stir it...every 5 hours or...
when I read through this post...I am utterly flaberghasted....
land here is just sooo expensive...
that it is a luxury too even think of an acre...
it is lovely and beautiful...but unfortunaly we live outside of vancouver which is about the most expensive are in canada..
so for me the thought...
Here is a link to how to can cheese
I haven't actually tried it myself but want to....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X33eg6mYhw&feature=relmfu
I find...frozen cheese...fine...
no you can't slice it...
but I would freeze in small blocks..
then...run a knife down it breaks apart,,in large...
maybe a combination of factors...
the drugs found..on there own...shouldn't be a cause for concern...
but maybe higher concentrations...drug overlapsed...
and the hot bath...may have played a part...
anyways....very very sad...loss.... :hit
very interesting....
I would so love to get bee's
and have done a quite a bit of research...
but bears visited our yard last year...
so would have to get an electric fence first...
and this winter was quite cold...
lots of snow....so I worry for survival...
maybe by next year will be able to...
not sure where I would get volcanic rock powder here...
sounds very interesting though
I was planning or making a willow tea...start...
willow is not only suposed to be good as root starter...
but is good for when transplanting plants...
Sounds very interesting
thanks for posting...
may mix up a batch and use as a canning jar spray...
somehow I often seem to forget the vinager in the water...
I only have the kitchen aid meat ginder attachment....
and I have to say it works great...(even though is only plastic..(.other that the insert parts))
it is incredibly handy...
and has been used many times especially for on sale items...
I tryed growing carrots for the first time last year....
in a quite deep raised bed...
not much luck though
planted purple haze and rainbow...
got No Purple haze and only scrawny rainbows...
the parsnips didn;t do well either....
the soil was mainly composted...
so maybe that had something to do...
I was just reading back a few pages...
and there were discussions on dehydrating celery down to nothing....
Tiny tip...
If you blanch...first...dosent shrivel up nearly as much....
Dehydrating is fantastic
what don't I dehydrate....lol
I had a nesco...liked it because it was an easy clean...
as we love jeky...and over the years...I have lost...a couple
cheap dehydrators...by getting the elements wet...
but last year...had my hubby treat me to an exchalabur...
absolutely...
Recently my hubbies daughter....
(who is trying to get in an artist residency in iceland...)
Was accepted to one..but it was one that cost...
and she sent her dad a note.
including how she really wanted to go to another free place...
ooooppppsss.....she axcidently sent it to the residency...
