you can eat the dandelions too :) use 'em in salads etc.
i'd think you could otherwise dehydrate/dry them, or maybe even freeze them (freeze on a flat sheet in a single layer first, then you can bag them, keeps them from sticking together) but i'm not positive.
you can also make wine.

thanks for the info! i'm really hopeful for this year's garden, last year we lived in washington sun (ie, no sun, ever) and it was pathetic; this year we've moved to indiana and have a huge garden plot in a field that always gets tons of sun. thanks for the encouragement!
yay! congrats! :) i have 15 month-old chicks right now, 5 buff orpingtons, 4 red sex links and 6 mystery black chicks that were supposed to be australorps but i'm not sure hah. the buffs are totally mellow compared to the others.

in the greenhouse though, does it affect the plants at all? i just wonder if it would filter out some of the sun or not.
i can't quite tell from the photo, but is it at least 18" deep in there? otherwise raccoons will come and eat all your fish and destroy all your plants. i learned this the hard way last year. =/
