I think I would be too embarassed to, 1. admit I ate that kind of food (which I don't), and 2. to admit that I can't fit in furniture designed for normal sized people.
Maybe he should lay off the White Castle and then he will be able to fit in a booth at Subway maybe.
I think a lot depends on whether you view this as a lifestyle or a hobby. To me, it is a hobby. I could just as easily buy veggies at the supermarket rather than grow them. If I chose not to, it's on me. I don't expect anyone else in my life to bear the responsibility of my personal choices. We...
asking them to pick up after themselves or do some household chores is not, to me, the same as making them get on board with SS. Of course my child had to clean her own room; has had to make her own dinner for years because I worked; did her own laundry when she got to a certain age. Also, she...
Hmm- parents- poor. Too many kids. Inner city. Horrible, horrible, miserable people. Resented me for wanting better, but I didn't care. I was the first of 10 to graduate from high school, although I was far from the oldest; and the only one to go to college. I made a vow that I would NEVER raise...
You only get one chance to be a kid. Adulthood lasts forever. I would not steal that precious time from a child just to lighten my own load. This doesn't mean you don't teach them to be responsible; or that you give them everything they want. You can respect childhood without spoiling the...
Well, I tend to agree with you. Even if I saw it as a lifestyle rather than a hobby, I don't expect anyone else to embrace it. I chose my life, my offspring chooses her own. I have never been one of those that expects my child to share the same religious beliefs, etc., either. She is her own...
My daughter never enjoyed my hobbies and I never expected her to share them. Most kids are much more interested in going to the mall than gardening or tending livestock. I was at that age, too. I would never try to force my interests on someone else. To each their own.
I think the most I ever spent for dinner for one was about $60. I know I went to a restaurant this weekend and had tiny crab cakes and sea scallops for just over $50- and it was totally worth it. And, I have never gotten out of the Melting Pot for less than $90 for two and again, totally worth it.
Saturday I am going out for dinner with friends; Sunday going to a farmer's market and then exploring some caverns, followed by a picnic lunch in a grove near the caverns. Monday, I hope to take a long bike ride if the weather cooperates.
I haven't bought Windex in decades.
I use one bottle alcohol, 1 TBS dish soap, 1/2 cup non sudsy ammonia to a gallon of water.
I think I will use this as the "glass cleaner" part.
Has anyone ever seen this? I just discovered it- it seems to propose the same sort of dietary goals that I see on here. A very interesting magazine.
The article I am reading now is tearing apart the USDA Dietary Guidelines in a calm and sensible way.
And there are some really good recipes in...
Wannabefree, I just wanted to thank you for posting all the updates on the course of the storm last night. I found myself coming here for information instead of the TV. Thanks!
