I agree. I'm a book junkie, though, and am trying to re-teach myself to stop buying books and use the internet and library.

I have made a bunch of "un" paper towels for myself. I use them for most everything I used to use paper towels for. EXCEPT greasy things or really nasty cleanups, I use regular paper towels for that. So, one roll of paper towels lasts me a long, long time. Also, I haven't bought paper napkins...

I agree with the vinegar rinse. Lemon juice works as well, and smells better. ;-)

Here's another pointer. This laundry soap can eventually cause buildup on your clothes. To prevent (or remove) this, use vinegar in your rinse cycle. I use vinegar in every load, in the fabric softener cup. Works perfectly as a softener! To reduce static ..... use felted wool balls in the...

I agree, if everything was mixed together, it would be a matter of just adding in more of the Fels to bring it up to the "bulk" amounts of the powders. But hey, now that I'm thinking about it, this seems like a great way to make the laundry soap! Mix it all up once and it'll last forever!

Try looking at your "local" grocery store. You can usually find the Fels and Washing Soda there.

Well Nifty, is sounds to me like we need to get you out of your J O B and make your forums your new full time income earner! We used to live and work in the Houston metro area. 1-1.25 hour commute each way. UGH. No way, never again! DH now works 6 miles from home...takes just about 8 minutes...

There could be some crossover, but yet there could be people that join this group that don't belong to the others. They could find this through search engines, or links on peoples blogs, etc, and never have found the others due to different things they searched.
