They do have stuff you can spray around the doors/windows, but you have to do it *before* they show up. Otherwise, your best bet is to get out the vacuum and go after them... My husband HATES those asian lady beetles. They smell horrible and he gets all pale, sick and almost passes out...

I've noticed that too. I don't know what they'd have to do to a whole apple to prevent it from browning, although I'm sure they treat the pre-sliced (how lazy do you have to be?) snack apples they have over in the salad aisle, but that would only require something as harmless as citric acid...

My grandparents have one and they like it. They use it to heat their sunroom in the winter so they can still sit out there. It is very quiet.

I've heard you can eat luffah gourds (that the sponges come from) when they are young. Maybe it was one of those.
