Mississippifarmboy's Living Simple Journal, Ready for a Fresh Start.

I know Deb! And from what I can see that's about the average price although I did find a few small companies selling it a bit cheaper. It was just one of those things I had looked up. I've also looked into making home-made 3 & 5 gallon cedar churns, locally made stoneware churns, barrel...

    Re-Purposing a TV Antenna?

If you mean the regular antenna, I just cut the aluminum parts off mine and they brought about $10 as scrap and I cut the pole into sections about 7 feet long and am using them for temporary fence posts for my electric fence. That was about all I could come up with. :idunno

Well, it's been a while since I posted, so thought while I had time this evening- I'd ramble a while. :P Last night we had some of the kid's friends over for a small Halloween party. Roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire, had a hay ride, Em made tons of creepy cupcakes and jello...

Can this garden fork be saved?

If you can find a piece of steel pipe just a bit smaller than the place where it's bent... You might remove the handle, drive a 6" piece of the heavy pipe into it where it's bent after heating it up and straightening it out a bit then replace the handle. :idunno Of course you can just...

Denim Deb Hay, hay, hay. Thank the Lord!

Wow! Sounds like you had a very busy day. I bet you are beat! I never measure lime here, just spread it and hope. :P I'm sorta that way on most stuff, even the composted manure, I just spread it until it "looks" right.

Not much I guess, I need to buy groceries if I ever get paid. :( Looks like white beans cooked with ground beef, turnip greens and cornbread. I think I have a cake mix too if I can think of something to use for frosting. Not fancy, but we'll eat. :D

Wow! I didn't realize it had been over a week since I posted. FEM, Cindi... I'm ok, just been busy with other stuff and haven't been online much. In the past week I've been cleaning the garden area, raking, pulling weeds, and burning brush. I hauled off a little scrap metal, patched a little...

Wannabefree...guess what I got in the mail today!?!?!?!?

Stray dog hit mine. I lost most of my Heritage RC Reds, a few buffs, about half of my Doms..... Was a mess. I was sick and just forgot to shut them up that night. I still have a few that look rough that he just played with and didn't kill and I had to cull abut six more that I knew wouldn't make...

Ummmm...... let's just say it hurt and I "corrected" her promptly. All in a day's work though. I finally finished deconstructing the breeder cage, just need to move it to where it's going to stay then I can start rebuilding it. I cleaned the flue and the wood heater. Got everything fed and...
