    Going to the gym

Aww, that really stinks. Is there anything that helps prevent her allergies (is she on medicines, etc), or does she just have to suffer through it all?

    Mental and Emotional Health Neglected?

I think what people are generally told now is "take a vacation"....hoping that they even have vacation time available without losing their jobs.

    Cooking without fire

Definitely...always a way! And as for car ovens, I remember seeing a while back, a unit that you plugged into your car lighter outlet and you could cook in it.

    Salmon & Cedar?

Aww, I read this too quickly and saw "salmon and cheddar," which immediately made me start drooling, haha. And I haven't done this myself, but it sounds really good.

    What would you make?

I didn't even think about spoons and bowls when you first asked the question. My mind went immediately to an island....I could 'really' use an island counter right in the middle of my kitchen, with maybe some shelves or cabinets underneath.

    Flu... RUN!

Ugh, that really sucks. Be sure to get plenty of fluids (preferably water) and as much sleep as you can....it does the body good. I generally try to take vitamin C as soon as I start feeling the symptoms, but if you're sick to the stomach, wait on that until the nausea is gone.

    Going to the gym

I don't go to the gym either, but now that spring is on its way, I'll probably be out and about, walking more than usual, too.

    how it's made

Choco, the name of the show is in the subject line...."How it's made" is the name. And I've seen bits and pieces of it, but haven't really sat down to watch it.

    Watchmen

I haven't seen it yet, but some of my friends have seen it already and they're loving it!

    Cartoons

Well the kids generally have cartoons on and I'll watch some of those with them. I'm still a big fan of the older ones, though, like Bugs Bunny. Spongebob is a show that isn't even allowed in the house, lol.

    Money spent wisely

^ I agree with both of the above. Although sure, there are sometimes sales or "clearances" on items that aren't selling well or are starting to get old, it doesn't make them any less great most times!

    Harry Potter at Last

I'm one of those that could really care less, lol. I never got into the books and although I have seen the first couple ones because of the kids wanting to, they're still just not really my kind of thing. I'll eventually watch the rest of the movies, I'm sure, but I'm not all riled up over a new...

    The Chimp Attack...

I think it's ridiculous what happened, and I'm on the chimp's side on this one. I think it's horrible that it happened and I really hope the woman is able to recover and move on with her life, but what exactly was she expecting to happen? Sigh.

    Fourteen?

I agree with that, too. For families who can actually afford to raise that many children is on a different playing field than someone who can't, and chose to go through medical means to produce more children beyond her means despite it.

    Layaway Making a Come Back?

I don't know nearly as many people that use layaway any more. I know it's still around, but I don't see it making a popular "comeback" so to speak.

    Money spent wisely

I've started making a lot more stuff homemade again. It's something I enjoy doing anyway, but since my hours were cut back, I have more time to actually do it and it definitely cuts down on the food bill.

10-12 Glasses of Water Everyday For A Healthy You

Pure water 'is' important to have and although the intake of other fluids (like the liquid in fruits, for example) is counted toward that daily intake recommendation, you still should have a good portion of actual water every day.

    Does Anyone Have...

Yep, that link has the standard recipe. We always mix ours up a bit, depending on what stuff we already have around, especially considering we love several kinds of the chex mix that can be found in the stores now. Also, Chex lists the recipe (and the one for the chocolate kind) on all its boxes...

Do You Take Vitamins and Supplements?

I used to take a multi-vitamin, vitamin C, and occasionally a couple other things if I was having specific problems that could be linked to a lack of this or that. Nowadays, I rarely even take a multi-vitamin although it's definitely something I'd like to get back to eventually.

    Mental and Emotional Health Neglected?

There are some great ideas already listed. The thing is, when things are truly tough, it's hard for most people to get their minds off of what's going wrong (like with the economy, money is pretty much always on their mind). Even with trying to find peace-invoking activities, it can be...
