That's a great deal! I have some jars that had stuff in them that was ancient but, all cleaned up and in use now. Great thing about glass, it doesn't retain smell or flavor of what was in it!
Don't they say that if you have allergies to eggs or egg whites you shouldn't get the vaccine?
I get the flu shot and so do the kids. DH won't take the time to go in and get the shot. He's the one who get really sick with the flu. I'm the one who is at high risk in the family.
I'm not real...
Yep! Sometimes, I joke that I hibernate like a bear, except for chores and milking. :D
I say that I pass out! I don't usually hear anything until the alarm goes off. When the kids were little I would here them at the tiniest little fuss but, now they are bigger and if they need/want me they...
I'm up at 4:30 a.m. and bedtime right now is 10-11 p.m. It's fieldwork time so it's late nights but, I still have to get up for chores and milking. I'm just glad DH isn't one to work until midnight or later and try to make it on only a couple hours of sleep. I don't get enough as it is.
1. Being able to grow and put up food for my family.
2. Goodwill/garage sales and the great finds just waiting to be found at them.
3. The simple things in life that many overlook or take for granted. Watching my kids grow, listening to the birds sing, even being able to walk, and many more...
Yes, low heat. I don't do sauce so I don't know how long it takes. I like my juice thicker than normal though so this is how I do it. I usually have it ready to put on in the morning when I get up and then can the juice after DH goes to work.
You probably could hurry it up using high heat. You...
I like to use my slow cooker to cook the juice down. Just leave the lid off. I can let it cook down while I'm busy doing other things and not worry about it burning.
Gall stones or kidney stones?
I thought for gall stones they took the gall bladder? :idunno And kidney stones they can breakup if small enough or surgically remove if not.
A niece had kidney stones and they tested them to see what they were made of. Her's were sodium accumulations and she...
Hello.
I have to go to my friends in a bit but, I thought I would stop in and see what's up.
I see Amos is now Blackbird. Confused me at first but then I remembered who's aviator that was and when I checked here on my thread, I realized that yes indeed it was Amos.
The loss of liquid can be due to not keeping the pressure steady too. If your having trouble regulating the jiggle and are constantly adjusting the burner that could have caused it.
At least we make our shakes after the cow is milked. I really don't know how you can deal with buildings, ground, etc. shaking and then knowing there will be more with the after shocks! I guess it's a difference in what one grows up with and the ground doesn't shake here like it does there.
I just throw my hair back into a ponytail, check to make sure I'm not to dirty :) and head in when it's a run to the local farm supply store. If I'm going in for the grocery shopping then I shower and find clean clothes. I've seen guys in the farm supply store that were wearing their PVC barn...
Thank you. Many farms here are surrounded by fields. Many homes are too as they are building them on farm land. :( Sometimes, I wish for a home in the woods. There are some here that you can't see from the road and I envy them as we are on the corner of two busy county roads and sit close to...
I'm home, for tonight anyway. She had a doctor appt today and I asked her if she would take her digital camera and take a picture of the farm. She did. This is taken from the back as we come down the side road. It's hard to get a picture from the front as we sit so close to the road and with the...
