This is so true....I save tons of money by staying home. I used to go to town almost daily and buy things from the Dollar store and such....but I have found this website called alice.com and you can have things shipped right to your door for free. You have to have an order of at least 6 items...

Today I am making bread from scratch instead of buying loaf bread from the store. I would like to get back on track again in making all of our bread. Especially after reading about what's in the store bought loaf bread. There is so many things that I can't pronounce it's scary...So many...
I totally agree... some people just do not appreciate...and you would think the lady that handed you the jar would have at least said Thank you! Oh, wow..... that's why I have very few that I give anything like this to. Same concept goes for quilting. I love to make quilts and give but in my...
This past summer I made several pints of "Red Clover Jelly" and it was really good. It tastes like honey and I thought next year I will make lots more of it because I substitute it for honey when sweetening my tea and does a great job. I also made some great tasting "honeysuckle Jelly" and some...

I usually give my jams and jellies at Christmas too but I didn't give much away this past year because of the past experiences with my family.... They don't seem to appreciate receiving a homemade gift such as canned goods...I don't understand why but... I don't feel that I should give to those...
No, I've never heard of it. But I love just keeping the cream off the top of the milk to put in my coffee.....it's just heaven.. So what do you do with the clotted cream and how do you make it?
I have raw milk and it's great of course...lol... but what I really love with homemade jam is the homemade butter and a big loaf of homemade bread.....Yummmmmmmmmmm....;)
This sounds great! I have canned dry beans by soaking them overnight in water and then just add them to the jars and pour hot boiling water over them. They turned out okay but needed to be cooked just bit after opening to get the juice thicker and the beans softer. Next time I will try cooking...
