I would try some borax or washing soda or both and then hang out on the line for some time like days.. I have done this before and it worked for me. Good Luck!

Yeah, I tried that SPAM spread with pineapple in those little bitty cans like potted meat and that recipe reminded me of it so I thought it might be like it. I think with a little tweaking I could probably make it more like that.

I canned 4 pints of chicken breast, 5 pints of pork, 2 pints and 2 half pints of beef. I still have lots of pork to can tomorrow. I got it on sale for .99 a pound. :) Couldn't pass it up.

Well, that worked out good for you. I love seeing all those jars of food. Makes me wanna go can something. I think I'll be canning some more turkey broth today. We had turkey breast on the rotisserie last night and I always boil what's leftover and make broth and any turkey that's left too...
