    One of my favorites is pinto beans w/ bacon or some type of meat to flavor them( I usually cook them overnight in the crock pot or pressure cook them) fried potatoes, and cornbread and macaroni and tomato. Yumm..

    ldychef, I usually smoke mine and then I take the drippings from the pan or use turkey broth to fill the jar up after filling it with the smoked meat. My family loves it that way. Happy canning!:)

    I canned turkey broth at Thanksgiving and at Christmas and both times they bubbled for along time after they were turned off and still did even after I set them out on a towel. I was kinda worried about them but they turned out fine.
