I didn't read the middle two pages so someone may have already suggested it, but in Nourishing Traditions there is a recipe. I forget what it is called but it is bulgar wheat soaked in yogurt and then heated until dry. It tastes pretty close to grape nuts!
I'll be praying everything goes well for you. I have heard horror stories from some of my adopting friends about the ..... I don't even know the right term, but about the adoption people. One had a lady that was a dream for her, and then her friend got her and the lady has reported her to CPS...
My theory is that it helps reduce the bacteria population in your mouth, which in turn helps your body have more "energy" to fight infections elsewhere. I do know that every time I start oil pulling, I start detoxing.
I've gotten all of mine from internet friends. I currently don't have any to share, but I think you'll find plenty who will. Most people just ask for you to cover shipping costs.
Yes you can make your own Kombucha SCOBY from a bottle of commercial kombucha, but it must be raw kombucha, such as...
My brother gets salmon and moose that people throw out just because it's a year old, and saves it for his cats and the dog. Unless the source seems questionable he feeds it raw and they love it. :) They are all excellent mouse/vole/squirrel and bird catchers too.
On that note, has anyone else who feeds their chickens and other animals organic feed noticed that their poo smells WAY less then when fed nonorganic?
When we used to buy already laying chickens from folks for the first week or two the poo would smell SO bad we had to clean out the coop twice...
Did you see my recent post in my journal about adrenals? I came up with a juice I thought you might be interested in for your adrenals. It seems to help tremendously!
Update and two new questions:
First of all it worked beautifully, and it tastes a million times better now too! It has a great aroma when I smell it, and the sourdough hotcakes I made from it were scrumptious!
I have been using my sourdough enough to keep it out without putting in back in the...
That is how it was with my young SIL, she was about 11 and had/has a really tender heart towards animals. My Dh shot a hare and I cooked it up for dinner. At first she wouldn't eat it, she couldn't imagine eating such a cute animals. But after seeing our enjoyment of it she tried it and enjoyed...
Some cats can get overweight on it still. The cat that has adopted my husband and I (they are all my families not ours) is a bit pudgy, but I think that will go away once he realizes it's warm outside and starts climbing trees and stuff again. The other cats are already spending hours outdoors...
We use taste of the wild for ours as well. They are shedding now that warmer weather has hit, but they had very little to no shedding during the winter. Until now I had thought it was just because our cats are part Bengal (hypoallergenic), but I guess it's also the food. :)
I do know that ever...
Wow! Mine never get that big, but then it's probably because I usually end up putting them in the fridge for a while or killing them first before they get the change to get any bigger! I think the biggest I have ever had is about the diameter of a dime!
