This is the Time of Year to Stock Up on Candles!

I only buy unscented candles. The stick candles are unscented but most of the pillar style are scented. Tea candles are also unscented. I have some candle sticks that have glass covers and that helps the stick candles from burning too fast. You can also trim the wicks.

    Should I tap my Maples?

That sounds like fun! I love maple syrup :drool I don't have any experience tapping trees but I would think get it now while you know it is flowing and after the freeze you should get more. You know it takes a lot to boil down into syrup.

Update-dehydrating bugs, pumpkin seeds & chicken feed

Instead of dehydrating bugs why don't you raise them. I think you can raise crickets in a large rubbermaid tub with a screen over it. You could do worms, too.

What would you charge? **UPDATE** $6/hour....

I hardly know what to say! :th Maybe if they like you they will give you a raise. The job market is bad now so they have you over a barrel. This can be a job from God in two ways. At least it is a job and you can be a blessing for that family. :)

Dr. said son needs to gain weight....suggestions?

Jen-pi I have had you and your son on my mind today. I just wanted to add that if you are keeping monthly records of his weight and he really doesn't gain much or anything at all over 4-6 months you may need to consider other diet options. If a person has an issue with gluten it damages...

People have told me my girls are too thin. Especially my mil. I feed my kids food made from scratch. It doesn't have all the garbage additives. My kids do get treats but not too much. Usually 1-2 cookies. Protein is very important. Make sure to have good protein for breakfast and not too...

    Fermenting question--hummus

Well, I have tried fermenting beans with whey and another with lemon juice. I think they turned out ok. One problem I have is one of my dd cannot have dairy products. They make her extremely crabby! She is a young teen and she has been this way most of her life. I am not sure if whey would...
