Thank you both, Fletamae and Cassandra. I, too, have wonderful memories of my granny making biscuits.
Fletamae, you are so right about handling the dough. I have to say that biscuit making is something that I do better than some things, and I am careful to handle them as little as possible...
What a fun project!
Was she trying to tell you something, not wanting you to help? ;)
I don't think your girls could take a bad picture, or your wife, either, come to think of it. Such a lovely family. :)
Thanks for sharing! :coolsun
No one, he was just appreciating Oakland's grandma's wisdom.
Plus, we all did jump in to share our own thoughts. Maybe a new thread would have been more appropriate; that's just my own thought. My middle name could be, Overzealous, at times. ;)
Btw, I'm curious as to how Howard's fishing trip...
Well, aren't you 3 funny today. :/
Hey there, Simple Life! Thanks, I'm glad to have found my way here, too. :) Well, I never said I didn't, I just said it bugged me.... ;)
I can't believe you found me out; I thought the van was my secret!
Beekissed, I shouldn't be posting anywhere...
I like Pat's answer; less typing! :D
However, I will note one thing that is different about our use, and finally say something that's been bugging me for a while now. A respected member on one of the sister boards, made a comment, with disdain, likening people who are off the grid to hippies...
Different engines use different compositions of seals, which might be why.
We had a problem here with cars with an additive in the fuel; seals broke down.
Also, we had some real trouble with our generators at that time; as did ds with the ones he was working with. (He's a service tech.)...
Wow, Beekissed, I got here just in time; I see you coveting over there! Maybe we'd better walk into this section together from now on. You just close your eyes, and I'll tell you if the coast is clear, or not! :D
NCnative, those are absolutely beautiful! You guys did a great job! :)
Yes, it does work well for things like that! :)
We've not had a bit of trouble with our septic system from using it, and it's been years now.
While it's probably the same ingredients, I can't promise the safety to the septic system with a generic, because one thing generics are known for, is...
Thank you! :)
I started doing this long ago, and what I do is wait until I'm going to make something anyway, such as a scratch cake. Then, as I make it, I line up containers to store, and a mixing bowl.
Let's say that I need 2 cups of flour for the cake. I put 2 cups in the mixing bowl, then I...
I'm from the "green triangle", and couldn't overlook the name when I saw it. :P
I don't use laundry soap in my laundry anymore. About 4 years ago I started using Oxi-Clean. That's it. It's cleans cloth well, and removes odors. And though not cheap, when you consider how little is used, a tub is...
Excelltent idea! I don't have the need as an actual diaper related wipe anymore, but there are plenty of uses for wet wipes, and the ingredients could be altered accordingly.
Thanks! :)
I've actually made something very similar; and it is very good.
Also, orange juice is good, as is cranberry juice.
I think all of the above work systemically, as well as topically. It must help for the throat to actually be washed with vitamin C, and something a bit astringent.
Thanks for...
I want to start by saying that this new forum is a plot to keep me on the computer longer each day! :he  :)
That said, I was going to say just what Pat did about nagging (I hate that word!), and praise.
Now to go and read. And choose a new avatar. And, and, and...sheesh! ;)
