I'm bit late joining the party, but happy birthday! dawn was the one who roused my curiosity about your blog. Cinnamon rolls! :drool They cost $4 for two at the supermarket, I'd love to learn how to make my own...
Wow, you're obviously very knowledgable about such things. :D I agree with the fella.
Me, I only just read this quote from a dictionary of proverbs, an little yellowing book I found in the corner of my bookcase.
And thanks for the welcome. :frow
It is, have you ever heard the quote "It's better to travel hopefully than to arrive"? That one just flew out of my mouth before I even realised I knew it too. :P
Oh look, things are going 90% well today, highest it's been in a while. My dealings with the stock market have decidedly improved. Perhaps I was exaggerating last time.
Hmm, today I was having an interesting conversation. Something just came out of my mouth that sounded a bit too detached from...
Beekissed - thanks. But I've given up on the chicken now, it's nearing the end of its egg-laying years now, so we're getting ready to replace with a couple of younger ones. :)
As for the family, the wall is still there, and seems to be growing as we speak (or as we don't speak)
I have to say I...
I love flying. I usually don't feel like I'm off the ground, and going through turbulence is like having potholes on the roads. :P
But that video... :hide I mean, I can deal fine with the height, it's just the notion of climbing so far from the ground with nothing but your own arms to hold you...
At war with myself and my failing interactions with the stock market. I think I am destined to be a hermit, bankrupt, alone, and watching big bang theory reruns in my lounge.
I really dislike my family, and they would rather I moved continent, I have a sneaking suspicion. I have no idea what to do about it, we just can't seem to be in the same town and not end up shooting daggers at each other. I am sick of it. The only reason I still am in contact with them is...
Well, I got my copy of Little house in the suburbs in the mail today (I have a picture in there, so they sent me a free copy) and it's darn funny!! I recommend you guys read that book, it's perfect for a site like this. Chickens, plants, bees, goast, homemade products.
Today has been an okay day for me, still going against the nasty known more commonly as the past.
I'm very glad it's now the weekend, a long weekend at that. There are several different sections of my life (I can't decide which is causing me the most grief at the moment) and at least for three...
Locked out of the house this afternoon, had to wait for someone to come round with the spare keys. My memory resembles a sieve nowadays. The chickens were behaving delightfully like seagulls today, it's quite funny to see them all dive for a bit of bread, wings slapping the ground like brakes.
Well, last night I went to a show, it being cheap Tuesday and there being a festival in my area. I am no fan of crowds, and spent most of my waiting time reading a book by the boundary, but the show itself was fantastic, although with a few crude lines. Definitely good to get out of this rut for...
Do I wear long skirts?
It depends on if I'm up for it. When it rains, they get rather annoying, but I have nothing against a nice, not too flowery number.
I generally don't wear skirts though, I'm more of a trousers person.
