I haven't tried e-cigs, but thought maybe this would be informative or helpful....
I smoked for over 30 yrs and quit at age 48. That was almost 4 yrs ago. To me, nothing feels better than finally being a non-smoker.....and DH too. He quit at the same time.
Nicotine substitutes never worked...
Thanks, Savingdogs.

There's an Artisan / No Knead thread on BYC I had started awhile back. It has other recipes and photos for...

That's really nice, Ab.
Here in NC, raw milk can only be sold as "pet milk". Farmers are not allowed to sell it at markets, and not allowed to advertise it for sale.
ETA: I guess we should consider ourselves lucky though - in some states raw milk is not permitted for sale to the public at all.
We buy whole raw milk for $3.00/gallon! Commercial whole milk varies from $2.78 - $3.19 around here. So, we feel very blessed to have found the small diary we're buying from. We have to take our own containers and fill self-serve, but it's great.
I make yogurt from just the milk portion, after...
LOL...you're so funny!
I grew up on a dairy farm with a ton of raw milk everyday. So, it's an unfair advantage.
Here's another one....use a turkey baster to plunge to the bottom of a jug of unhomogenized milk and "suck up" just a half cup or so for use in a recipe where you want low fat milk...
You can shake it up and pour to use as whole milk. Or you can separate the cream from the top by pouring it off. Then use it as cream and low fat milk. I use a fat separator like this one:
They're made for separating fat from stock for gravy and sauces, but it works great for milk too. There...
I think it would be safe. The baked beans and hoppin' john I can end up pretty thick too.
Actually I may try that myself. If I added Free's bean & ham soup and your split pea soup to our pantry, we'd really enjoy the addtional selections for quick meals.
ORChick - you're welcome.
I do Boston Baked beans as well. And Hoppin' John (blackeye peas, jalapenos, onion, tomato).
I hadn't though of bean soup and ham....hmmmm.....next! :)
Yep! :)
I can "seasoned pintos" for making refried beans. Just add some chopped bacon and chopped onion to beans when ready to can. To make refried after opening, I smash them and add 1/2 tsp cumin and 1/2 tsp chili powder per pint.
I can lots of beans - kidney, pinto, black, october, chick peas, canellini. I like them for the convenience....and they taste much better than commercial canned. Although I'm home all day, it still suits me best to open a jar or two at times rather than soak, etc.
DH & I also like chick peas...
