Wow! I don't blame you. I guess it matters which Sam's Club store you're in, or maybe which line you're in? Last weekend I shopped at Sam's with my DIL. She's not a member. We checked-out using my membership card and her credit card. Nobody questioned it.
If it's Miracle Whip you're trying to make, you could try this. I copied it a while back from somewhere on the net, but, like the mayo, I have yet to actually try making it:
Homemade Miracle Whip
Ingredients
* 2 egg yolks
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1 tbs powdered sugar
* 1 tbs lemon...

I just clicked the wrong thing and landed on the first page of this journal instead of the last. There I noticed the date. You started this journal one year ago today.
Oh! THAT's why I bought the grapeseed oil!! It's been sitting in the kitchen cabinet for months and I could NOT remember why I bought it! :idunno Now I remember: I was going to try making mayo.
Thank You!!!:woot
I do that, too for site sign-ups and surveys, and ordering from sites I'm not sure about. I never thought of using it for my 50-jokes-a-day friends. Good idea!
I'm getting $2.50/dozen for mine. Do customers usually buy more than one dozen at a time? What if you would continue selling them for $3 per dozen, but also offer two dozen for $5?.
We sponsor 10- year old boy who lives in Ecuador, and my husband has a friend who is from there. From what I have gathered, FarmerJamie is right, the people already live sustainably. Not sure how much you'd be able to teach them. Maybe they could teach you from their experience.
As for the...
I have the black & white version. I prefer the longer battery life - mine lasts about a month, and I leave it on all the time (with the whispernet off). If I want to see something in color, I view it on my PC Kindle.
I recently downloaded the Kindle Notepad -- very cool for only 99. Lets you type your own notes, lists, etc. into your Kindle. I just put my grocery list and my "to do" lists in there. I haven't tried this yet, but you're supposed to be able to transfer your notes to your computer...
I love LOVE LOVE my Kindle. I bought a cover for it that opens like a book, so I still have the feel of a book. It's great to take on vacation - fits better in my bag than an armload of books (and not so heavy). They have come up with a sharing feature recently, but I haven't tried it yet...
I've never had that happen. Do you put the rubber ring and lid together first, before putting it on the jar? That's how I have been doing it, and the lid has a ridge that holds the ring in place.
The gaskets are reusable. I saw on the internet where someone was testing them, and they were still working after being used for canning six times. I have used some of mine three times, and they still look good.
My BIL is from Alaska. He always jokes (I think he's joking), that you would get more jail time for shooting a moose out of season than you would for shooting your wife.
:ep
Consider learning to can. That seems to be more acceptable to a reluctant spouse. I have canned jars of produce from our garden and the farmers market. DH is very proud of the rows of jars lining the basement wall. If those shelves were full of store-bought canned food, he would think I was...
At our local farm store, they have packages of O rings for chickens. They are plastic, with several different colors in the bag. They have a cut in the ring, so you can pull it apart to put on the chicken's leg.
