I think we understand that. And thanks for the post. My feelings, however, are that the HSUS will try to secretly infiltrate unsuspecting groups to spread their poison. Vigilance is important to me.
I'm thinkin that this would be a good reason to somehow work around the liability issues and have hunters come in to shoot the wild pigs by the hundreds. Most hunters I know would just love to have a chance at it. But with our litigate society property owners are stopped from allowing hunting.
The JD-4020 is usually around 90 horsepower and should be fine for any type of baler. The O-770 is a little bit lighter duty tractor (I think somewhere around 55 HP) but it should be OK for a square baler. Both are excellent tractors. It appears that you new at this so I would advise that you...
I have a friend who goes to that area to pan of gold every spring. He goes to a place off of Rt. 52 south of Dahlonega. I think it's called the Oar House or something like that. He has not found enough gold to brag about lately but 4 or 5 years ago he came home with a little glass tube full...
As much as I despise the HSUS the list is very well done. However, I'm not so sure I would go out of my way to provide for the wild animals if there is a real bug-out situation.
I went back to the closest Re-store again last week. I found some prices to be unbelievably good deals and some were too high. While I was browsing through the hardware section I had a chance to talk to the manager. I found out that most of the workers there are volunteers and are not...
I've heard rumors about it among the hunting crowd. Obviously most deer hunters don't like the idea. And I'm sure lots of "anti-chemical anything" folks will hate it. I wonder what the fools at PETA think.
DW and I volunteered one winter in the Everglades National Park and spent 5 months...
I wonder if our chickens don't like many table scraps because they free range all day every day. Sure they'll gobble up some things like there's no tomorrow but many times they would rather head out to the field and eat bugs, mice, and snakes.
Us too. We have done a pretty good job of cutting...
I think freem has offered some great advice. I say go for it and work as hard as you can for the first few months. Keep trying new things and give it 100% effort. Believe me, it will be a lot more work than you ever expected to make it a success. But if you don't try you will never know how...
Thanks for all the condolences everybody. Something has been drifting around in my head for the last few days. Sometimes I can close my eyes and see her delicate hands. She was a small woman. Frail is a good word to describe her. 5'-4"ish and very thin. The skin on her hands was like a...
I was out in the garden this morning thinking about that same thing. I wonder why our local and state elected officials don't try harder to do something about the meth lab and usage problem. It seems that most of us read and hear about the problem and just shrug our shoulders and go on as...
We do not really have a place for this kind of stuff so I picked this forum.
Some of you know that I have been volunteering at a soup kitchen for several years two days a week. I used to take lots of eggs in every week but due to gov. regulations I had to stop giving the eggs to the kitchen so...
Rocket stoves are a great way to use all the sticks, twigs, and branches that fall into the yard each year. It's free fuel.
We use one almost every year to process the maple water into syrup. I don't have a picture of it right now but I will try to get some pix soon. My camera was dropped...
