    Manure, manure everywhere. Compost?

I don't think I would put the worms in a bin full of horse manure. But it is something you could add to the worm bin fresh. Just so it does not start to hot compost and cook the worms. (See outside they can escape if it gets to hot then move back in when it cools down..) Also another minus...

Are all cast iron pans created equal?

opiemaster, Too bad about the crack. I am unaware of any way to repair cast iron. Since grinding it up and recasting it is not a option. I would just continue to use it until it does not function any more. Those dutch ovens sure are handy.... Thinking about glass top stoves.. I would...

Maple Syrup... who makes their own? Help?

I consider myself very much a traditionalist. Old is better than new in almost every category.! I would suggest you at least google and check out sap sacks and sap sack holder taps. I personally feel the bags are better than buckets. Keeps the sap cleaner.. ON

I think you will be OK as long as they were dry. To much moisture could damage them. You could alway put some in dirt know and see if they sprout, instead of waiting until you put the garden in. (Little piece of mind..;)) on
