I'm a homecare nurse. My job is mostly educating people about their illnesses and teaching them how to manage there medical problems.
I also work with cancer patients and teach them about there illness and treatments and how to manage the side effects of treatments.
I also do Hospice work and...
My niece married and Indian man and his parents are visiting for 6 months. They are Hindu and are vegetarians. They will be coming for Christmas dinner. I need some ideas for what to serve.
I'd be interested in attending "camp" but 1 week would be to long for me. 3 days would be ideal for me. Any longer than that and I'd feel guilty about the work I had at home waiting to be done.
I would really like to learn soap making under the guidance of an experienced soaper.
A waiver...
We get our honey in 5 gallon buckets. I heat it in my stock pot until it is hot (Not boiling)and then pour into canning jars and seal with lids and rings.
You can just pour into jars and cap without heating. I use heat method to create a seal. The seal is nice when you give honey as a gift
Next time I need lids I'll buy lids with rings and take better care of the rings.
Any craft ideas for rusty old canning rings?
If I can't find another use for them they will go to the scrap yard for recycling.
I have some coupons (4) for $5.00 off a 6 lb or larger bag Purina pro-plan puppy, select puppy or performance formula for all life stages. They are good thru 4-30-10.
This is Purina's "top shelf" puppy food. It is a more expensive type around $1.00/lb. Ours are all adults now and on adult...
I have a can around her somewhere, but the last time I needed it I couldn't find the darn stuff!
The next time I went to the local green house I begged a spoonful from the proprieter. You only need a a little bit. If I could find that can I'd send you a spoonful.
I checked the Barometer at 4:00PM and the needle was on "hurricane"!
My bones are aching...The wind is howling.. It's gonna be a long night.
Dh just got back from filling the gas tanks for the generator. We got our baths earlier just in case. The leaves all blew out of the yard across the road...
I'm tired of paying $3-4 a bottle for toilet cleaner. Although the disposable scubber heads are nice, they are such a waste. Bleach works great but is bad for the septic. I've thought of trying vinegar but can't get past the thought of the toilet smelling like pickles. What are you using to...
DH's primary care physician can do a "celiac panel" it consists of
blood tests for
tTG-IgA or tissue transglutaminase-IgA
AGA-IgG or Antigliadin IgG
AGA-IgA or Antigliadin IGA
Total IGA
These are antibodies produced in response to gluten in a person with Celiac.
DH should follow his normal diet...
I think this crib was one of the recalled ones. Probably not safe to pass on. It will make beautiful gates for my stairway and kitchen. I may even use the sides to make a folding portable gate. The wood is beautiful.
Scored today. Was out working today and spotted a "jenny Lind" type crib in the trash. It was in perfect condition. I've been wanting DH to make some fancy gates for the stairs and kitchen to keep the dogs out. The top head and foot section of a crib is the same width as a doorway!!!!
Sides will...
My neighbor makes several hundred dollars a year picking up scrap metal on trash day.
I've found some great stuff myself. We once found a Gravely tractor complete with snowblower (worth about $800) in the trash. It still ran, DH fixed the timing and it is now our best machine.
We often put...
Cable TV and the DVR. I love that DVR. Oh, and the internet can't go without SS, BYC and Craigslist. I'd gladly do away with the land line phone and cell phone if it wasn't necessary for work. Yes the bill for these is ridiculous, I have it set up for e-bill and autopayment from checking, This...
