I have a book on building forts, tree houses, treasure chests and such. You can borrow it, if you like. That is how we came to build the "big kids" fort. We got the zip line from www.visionforum.com and they love it, ofcourse. :D
We are just fortunate to have such a mild winter...
Wow! What a glorious day. We have had a mild winter thus far. Today it is so warm and sunny, it felt like spring! My DH and I walked the property, measured the garden area, scoped out the spot for the chicken coop, found places to clear for fruit and nut trees, planned out our "social"...
So, being new to all of this, I am currious as we have run up to a new challenge. We are washing and reusing plastic zipper type bags. The bags from lots of stuff, actually. But sotring them is the challenge. I have not come up with a good way to store them in an organized way. :P
What do...
I use vinigar in the rince, too. We started doing it because my son's allergist said it would work to take all the irritants out of the laundry. That was 10 years ago. I started cutting my dryer sheets in half last year, then in quarters this spring. Then in November I quit using dryer...

I bet if you asked other people if you could have their feed sacks to recycle, they might let you have them, then you would have plenty of supply. I would love to buy one from you as well. I have a friend who would love one and it would make such a great gift for her!
I take the rings off the tops of the individual pop bottles from people at work - bring them home and use them to put over a pair of socks before I wash them. No "lost" socks . .the sock pairs stay together. When I am able to use my clothes line I hang them on the line by one sock, they stay...

My daughter and I are also gluten intollerant. It is like learning to cook all over again. Learning the differnt flours is the learning curve part. But, we make loads of stuff at our home that tastes good and sometimes better than the glutten counterpart and we are learning to do it less...
It is soooo true! I have several friends that make over 90k a year, beautiful homes, cars, clothes . . and stress!! They are all balancing credit cards and loan payments. My one friend pays $1100 per month just on car payments! I don't want to live like that. They are loosing sleep over how...

LumpinFarm - What a great idea!
I think we will go down to the butcher down the road and see if we can arrange something where they will let us bring our own reusable containers. Most of our trash anymore is junk mail that can't go in the compost or packaging from food. They don't have any...
