nooooo! i'm just getting started here!
it is above 52F now but it was below 39F last night. I will open up the garage and get the plants put out after brunch and then get to work weeding, etc.
progress has been happening, but cool and rains at times has slowed me down again - i work around it as best i can - like yesterday i was able to weed along an edge of a garden some and there are usually other projects i can do while the gardens dry out.
we did get the replacement stained glass...
yesterday wasn't as much weeding as i'd have liked but i did get a groundhog hunted and buried and then i plugged up the hole to the burrow and removed the trap i'd set and as part of that i had to get some rocks pulled out of the mud of the ditch and put back into place and ... hopefully there...
*envy!* :) glad you got a harvest! :) i have tiny plants that have hardly grown (there's been very little sunshine this week), but they'll get going eventually - we have warm and sun coming at last.
at least you have a full pond! :)
it has been cool enough at night that we've turned the heat on in the morning. but i hope that is soon to end after the next two cool nights coming up and then i can get the peppers planted as then the next three days are 81F or higher, rains return on Tues...
some rains in the forecast later this afternoon. i'm going to take it easy today and limit myself to three hours or whatever happens first...
after today and tonight there is no other rain in the forecast until Wed and the hottest weather is on Tue, which is perfect as i can mow in the morning...
I've heard that... which is why it is so very upsetting, finally had a way to find out and it's still just sitting there like it's a rock or something...
chopped up the pile of honeysuckle tree parts and wild grape vines and then weeded part of a garden. considering the weather forecast i was glad to be able to get outside at all.
i'm certainly enjoying the day off (rains) here. i already sqwozed in a few naps - woke up way too early and the best response to that after the morning wee was to go back to sleep...
we normally do not have left-over fats from cooking. we don't buy sliced bacon so we do not need to dispose of that fat any more - we don't use it in cooking (if you don't cook meat that often the fats often smell rancid - if you've never been vegetarian for long you won't notice it but once...
makes me hungry looking at it. :)
fat is also energy for hard working people and it helps get you through a day in the gardens. a banana with peanut butter used to be a favorite breakfast and that would get me through most of a day until about 6pm.
i happen to also like the flavor of beef...
